UNDERGROUND DAY 2026: BEYOND RADIO
Nine seasons ago, The Underground began as a radio program built around a simple mission: connecting listeners to great music from today’s cutting edge Christian artists. Over the past nine seasons, I believe we’ve done just that. Now, it’s time to take the next step in that journey.
Welcome to the next chapter
During Season 9, we’re expanding The Underground’s presence beyond the broadcast booth and building a deeper connection between the show, its listeners, artists and the community.
Our website will become an even bigger part of that experience, with new ways to listen, discover artists and interact with Underground content. You can expect updates to the Underground website in the near future, both functional and cosmetic improvements. We’re also continuing to develop new digital content designed to give the Underground experience a life beyond the weekend broadcast.
One such example of this new content is the first Underground Bible Study coming in October. Details coming soon.
We’re also taking a fresh look at how we use social media. The Underground’s social channels will continue connecting us with artists, labels and listeners, while our X presence is being reshaped into a more immediate extension of the program—giving us another way to share what’s happening around The Underground in real time.
Some of these changes are launching now. Others will roll out throughout Season 9.
The Underground will continue airing Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6–9 PM Central on WPBP 104.3 FM. While FM radio will always continue to be at the core of The Underground experience, this year it promises to be part of something much larger – Beyond Radio.

INTRODUCING TIME OUT
We’re launching Time Out, a community-affairs initiative created to give local ministries, nonprofits, and charities an opportunity to tell their stories and highlight the work they’re doing in our community.
Through interviews and features, Time Out will connect listeners to people and organizations making a difference—and give those stories a home on the growing Underground digital platform.
Time Out will debut during Season 9, with the podcast becoming part of The Underground’s programming and online content.
Because music may be what brings us together… but connection is what The Underground is really about.
